I agree that there isn’t enough time left in the show to fully develop Euron as a character. But, he was kind of needed to move the plot line and there was nobody else who made sense as an ally of Cersei. If you think of him as a means to an end instead of a focal point then I think you should be fine with how he is being used this season. He will probably be burned alive by a dragon in 3 weeks anyway.
