Why on earth are children in the 6th to 8th grade making public declarations of this kind? They have no experience in processing sexual feelings. And why on earth is the federal government demanding that schools allow ideological clubs without an express anti-discrimination law from Congress — Mr. Obama’s twistifications and distortions of Title VII and IX aside, there is none.

No one under the age of 18 should have any sexual orientation at all, because no one under the age of 18 should be having any kind of sex. And children ought not to be changing their sex because again they generally lack the experience necessary to process the relevant feelings properly. Parents need to provide information, wisdom and correction, not cater to every bit of whimsy, drama or confusion, and certainly not to every meltdown, a child has.
