How I became a more productive designer with this 60-second trick

I’m a student, and a since a few weeks summer holiday is here! Awesome! No more school, so I can get busy with being productive and making more money. Well… As most of you will know, it doesn’t work like that. After a few days of being ‘productive’, it just stopped.

I started getting up later. I just sat there everyday… Watching Youtube Videos, checking Facebook, Netflixing. I couldn’t switch my mindset. There was no one who said ‘come on man, do something!’. I hated it, but I couldn’t help it. At least, that’s what I thought.

Until I saw a video of Adm. McRaven at a University of Texas, Austin. This guy talked about why making your bed is the best way to start off your day! And you know what? This actually works.

Nonsense, you say? Well, since I make my bed every single morning, I get way more stuff done. This little ritual just helps me to get in the flow of the morning, and it litterally doesn’t take more than 60 seconds.
