We all wish.
The business owner wishes they had paid more attention in college.
The scholar wishes they had partied while they were young.
The married man wishes he had traveled the world as a nomad.
The nomad wishes they had settled down and started a family.
The single man wishes for one to call their own.
The taken man wishes for the freedoms of being single.
“If only I had written more…”
“If only I had drawn more…”
“If only I had been more spiritual…”
“If only I had been more rational…”
“If only I had… if only I hadn’t…”
And so we sailed for greener pastures
But the grass was always greener.
So we got lost and wished to be found.
All the while he who was found longed to be lost.
