Whether you work remotely from a white-sandy beach in the tropics or in a bustling metropolis in Middle America, you can make money online and from home with ease. There are so many options for generating an income that it all just depends on your situation and the amount of free time you have.

The best part? Even if you have a full-time job you can make extra cash on the side with many of these websites and apps. You can do it from home or you can do it while on the go. Some require you to have skills, while others just require you to invest a bit of time.

Whatever methods you decide, understand that the worthwhile ones will require a substantial time investment. Some platforms rely on feedback and others don’t. Those that do heavily favor providers with a great track record, which takes time to build.

#1—Poshmark

Poshmark is a service that allows you to sell items from your home and closet online. You just take photos and upload the items to Poshmark to sell them. You can share those listings on social media and Poshmark will even send you a prepaid label to ship out the items.

#2—ThredUp

ThredUp is similar to Poshmark. It’s a place where you can sell your clothes. However, this one works a bit differently. You clean and launder your items then send them into ThredUp. The company then takes your items, puts them on consignment and takes care of everything else.

Ebay has been around for ages. It’s a great way to make money online by selling just about anything you have in your house. Take high-quality photos and create a solid description if you’re serious about selling. Many on Ebay rely on great reviews so make sure you provide a great service to collect solid feedback.

#4—ClickFunnels

ClickFunnels is the king of sales funnels. There are many ways you can earn through ClickFunnels. One way is to design funnels for their marketplace. You can make passive income selling these. The other way is to build sales funnels for your business. You can also build funnels for other companies.

Rover is a dog-sitting and dog-walking app and website. You can get paid to hang out with dogs. You get to define your schedule so this works even if you have a day job. Rover pays you to walk dogs, do dog sitting, house sitting, and doggy daycare.

Wag is another service similar to Rover. You can earn money by walking dogs, sitting them, boarding them overnight, training them, and more. Like Rover you have to go through an extensive background check. And once you have great reviews, you’ll get more premium jobs.

Care is a service that also provides dog sitting but is primarily geared towards babysitting and child care services. You have to go through an extensive background check. At the start, it’ll be harder to get the premium jobs until you collect great reviews. But you can make money with this in your spare time.

If you have a large vehicle you can make money by charging electric scooters. Lime calls this Lime Juicing. Depending on where you live, you can earn money to charge these electric scooters overnight. It pays roughly $20 to $30 per electric scooter you charge. So the bigger your vehicle the better.

#9—Uber

If you have a vehicle you can make money with Uber by doing rideshares. You can also deliver food through Uber Eats. This is ideal for most people since you can turn the app on and off whenever you want. Uber pays you periodically and is a great side hustle.

#10—Lyft

Lyft is another rideshare service you can use. You can do Lyft on its own or do it together with Uber. Some regions and countries don’t allow one or the other rideshare services. But if you have Lyft available, and you’re set on doing ridesharing, there’s no reason why you can’t use both.

InstaCart is a food delivery service that has really exploded in popularity. It’s a great way to get delivery of grocery and convenience items from nearby stores. You can do this in conjunction with other delivery and ridesharing apps. You’ll need some form of transportation to do this.

DoorDash is a food delivery app. It’s just another option you can use to handle deliveries. DoorDash doesn’t require a car. But it does require you to have either a car, scooter or bicycle. And after the first “dash” they will send you an activation kit.

PostMates is a delivery service that was acquired by Uber in 2020. So if you’re already delivering for Uber Eats or driving for Uber, you can quickly get approved to deliver for PostMates. You’ll need a car, bike or a scooter to do this. If you live in an urban area, a bike or scooter will likely be okay.

Shutterstock is one of the largest stock photo and video websites on the internet today. But did you know that you can make money online by selling your photos and videos here on Shutterstock? iStockPhotos is a platform owned by Getty Images. Similar to Shutterstock, iStockPhoto allows you to sell your photos and videos on its platform. However, you’ll need to put in an application to contribute by downloading their app and submitting 3 to 6 photos for consideration.

Airbnb is by far the largest vacation rental platform out there. You can use it to make money in a few different ways. You can rent out a spare room or your entire home. You can also manage vacation rentals for others. This is much different than doing traditional long-term rentals because it requires more touch points and management.

Another vacation rental platform is VRBO. It stands for vacation rental by owner. VRBO was one of the original vacation rental platforms. Grok has access to a very large dataset with the Twitter/X platform. It’s trained on more knowledge and can likely give you a very good road map for making money. Similar to ChatGPT, just tell Grok your skills and it will tell you the best way forward.

Udemy is a very popular platform for selling online courses. Although you don’t have much control over the marketing of the course and pricing, it is a substantial platform used by millions worldwide. This is a great way to make money by selling your knowledge in a course format.

Kajabi is another platform where you can sell your knowledge. You can use this platform to build courses and sell other digital products. It can also be used to design a website or a landing page for your business. Kajabi was originally founded back in 2010.

The best part is that if you’re a US person, you can use this to get a job in the US, even if you’re living abroad. Plus, there are so many apps available to streamline the entire sales and marketing process. If you’re considering selling physical products then you need a Shopify store.
