Hi my name is Robert and I am the founder and CEO of GeoInteractive. We are modern day pioneers exploring dangerous places hunting for the chance to discover something new or something that may pose a threat to people and the environment.

I started GeoInteractive back in October 2013 for a number of reasons. The first being that I was finding it hard to find a job that I really wanted to do. Months before I had been made redundant from a geologist role. At the time I was upset and scared that I had just lost my monthly pay check, company car, cruisy/ lazy lifestyle. Looking back at it now it was the best thing that could of happened.

I always knew that I was going to work for myself and own my own company. I always found it hard to work for someone else and their vision. I remember my first professional job I worked at. The boss asked me what my ambitions were on the first day. I said that I want to own a company like yours. He laughed and gave me some advice, “Don’t wear your heart on your sleave, and don’t tell your boss that you want to own a company like his”. haha

So there I was 31 about to get married, no income coming in, a load of personal debt accumulated from my reckless/fun uni days and about to embark on so far my life’s biggest journey — GeoInteractive.
