One Night

Let’s get lost, in the starlight lonesome universal midst struggles to blanket our naked selves. Touch is a beautiful sensation, a collective bargaining of neuron stimulating the heart, through mind and body, bodies converged bouncing

within the realms of realism, flimsy at best. How can I put this lightly, though heavy with death’s touch. A rose floats a drift in an ocean of emotion, fluid sobs of salty tears, never caught by you. Nor me, sweetie lets not do this ever never ever again, but pause for a second…do you recall the soft gentle weight of warm morning sheets, the comforter brining no comfort to us lying in the shadows of Rome. Wilted emotions of a one night stand, did we love each other while intoxicated, whizzing away twirling, touching laughing, I told you how you put the S in sexy, you stared into the depths of my soul, and then WE infused ourselves within the night.

No shame, only guilt of passion two lonely souls merging together for one night and one night only…. I rolled over, wondering where I was, I could hear the vibrations of moving traffic, birds chirping, a few distance yells, the stench of the city rising up, a letter by bedside, written from you…

“I’m sorry we have to part this way, please lock the door behind you…destiny called for us to merge for one night only. Do not attempt to find me, or remember where I stay. Erase this encounter from your memory and move on with your lonely bohemian life.”

Goodbye forever,

V

Overwhelmed by ghostly emotions, I slowly sauntered down the narrow stairwell six flights down awaited the streets, ready to gobble my heart…this fucking city is cruel:

a mistress evoking provoking and arousing me in a sense no other town could.

Could this be love, could this be addiction, questions unanswered as I floated along the pavement being swallowed by a city that never sleeps.
