Updates w/ Me and Technology
Hello, I’m lounging w/ a vodka tonic…LOL. Not exactly, but I’m working freelance (layoff) so I’ve had the chance to do a bit more work on a few items like social media ads + HTML to WordPress conversions.
I thought I would share some updates that have recently taken place on FB, and Snapchat. Nothing that will stop your campaigns but things that have impacted some of the people I’ve worked with (and me!)
1) Snapchat: NO MORE Snapcash. If you ever exchanged some $$ on snapchat; that has gone away. They recommend https://cash.app/
2) Snapchat Spectacles: Two new versions of Spectacles for Snapchat — not a huge deal but for those that love them, they can be really cool to create quick videos and now you can download the videos and use them for other platforms.
3) FB ADS: Marketplace. Have you shopped for stuff on FB in their Marketplace? Sort of like Tradesy or Poshmark but it can be super local. Well, now you can advertise the same ad you publish on Newsfeed into the Marketplace. Can be a very cool way to hit that super local feel on customized ads and takes you out of only the newsfeed
4) FB Video: So now you get more insights on video, one that is super cool is that you can break out Followers vs Non-followers who watched your videos. This can be cool if you opt to then create some custom audiences w/ your followers vs non-followers so that you can tailor your ads.
5) FB Tools: now you have a new set of tools when building ads w/ photos. Rather than having to touch them up in Photoshop or Canvas, now you have a set of tools to clean them up, add some graphics and then create your ad, no need to do it in another app. You don’t think it matters but one less program to open does make it easier if you just want to get the ad up and scheduled.
Lot’s more but these are some that stood out to me. Looking to collaborate or opportunities. Keep me in mind if I can help you on a project or just to flush out some ideas.
