Robotics Pool Day

View of the ROV Underwater for a test dive

Earlier this week on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 the Stockbridge’s Advanced Underwater Robotics Team traveled to Chelsea, Michigan to test dive their Remotely operated Vehicle (ROV). This years student engineers designed and built a whole new ROV. Making the pressure high of getting every adjustment and programming just right. As you can see, the picture to the left is the ROV being tested and piloted by head engineer, Mitchell Lilley. The teams pool run was successful after a few minor adjustments to the ROV, putting them on them right track for their mission to Palau. The team plans to make another successful trip next week to the pool before the last few countdown days before their departure out of the country.
