Why you should attend an African Festival
Africa as a continent has many countries and even more diverse cultures that can be experienced through travelling.
An African festival offers a unique experience, travelling through the artistes performing at a show, one can gain interest in their home country’s culture and music.
The creative arts offer a space to enter into the sounds of a place and the languages from the motherland, Africa. One festival that gave me an awakening of consciousness is Sauti za Busara in Zanzibar. Having met people from various corners of the continent.
