Suspension bridges, literal and figurative — vacation meditation

Crazy Creek Suspension Bridge, Malakwa, BC

I’m on vacation this week, so I’m swapping out my usual morning meditations with what I like to call vacation meditations, i.e pictures from places that have inspired me during this trip. Enjoy!

I love bridges. Whether I’m searching for a literal crossing or a figurative literary device, bridges offer a rare combination of usefulness and beauty as both a writer and a pedestrian.

I especially love suspension bridges — like the one I visited today about 30 minutes west of Revelstoke, BC. Perched precariously across a rushing waterfall, it’s sure to go down in memory as one of my favorites.

More tomorrow.
