Enjoyed reading your article and I have to agree that battery production (and battery disposal) does very much seem to be the un-talked about elephant in the room. Replacing petrol driven vehicles with electric ones is most definitely not the answer and is only a short term solution. Our efforts would be better directed improving public transport and creating more designated bicycle lanes. Working locally would also help a lot but we are a long way from that at present.
