Bryan, I really enjoyed this article, thanks. Good to see Flipboard written about like this. Here’s another Strategy I use, to help automate the discovery and sharing elements 😉

  1. On the web version of Flipboard, browse for your favourite mags that have relevant content, and are regularly updated. Copy the Mags URL and then simply append with /RSS (occasionally for old Mags you append with /?RSS so an extra ‘?” is needed)
  2. This is the RSS feed of the magazine, you can use in a variety of ways
  3. Add the RSS feed into Buffer (I use DLVR.it personally) and set to share with your preferred social media accounts

I actually share everything with ‘hub’ social accounts, not primary client ones, to build a following and authority. I re-tweet specific, best quality/relevance type tweets via my main social accounts. There are obviously many options available – once you have the RSS feed.

If you pick several high quality, relevant magazines that are well kept, then you have a powerful source of timely, spamless content to share, as well as your own of course!

It does not stop there. I now merge several feeds into one, then pipe the aggregated feed into Snip.ly – which adds my branded banner to every piece of content – then pipe the output feed into DLVR.it and share as above. Now every piece of content has a subtle message or ad – on autopilot.

Feel free to follow me, I’ll be sharing more tips like this, as we go.

Cheers again Bryan,

Robin.
