F*** You, I Quit — Hiring Is Broken

Long and sad read. Not because of all the extreme ends of the spectrum comments, but rather the underlying theme. Everyone (candidate & business) is dissatisfied with the dysfunctional process of interviewing. I’m not going to go on like most about my background related to this topic, if you really give a shit you can go look me up.

But I’m going to give you my POV as I’m really fucking tied of these types of posts and comments. Not because what people have to say, but because we are still even talking about this shit. People we are in the year 2016 and we still can’t work out a way to interview and assess talent while still treating people like people. Really? Comments like you suck and did not prepare and they suck because they made me do homework serves no purpose except divert everyone from the real issue. I’m not going to tell you what I think the real issue is here because if I have to even do that then we are all way more fucked than you realize. Maybe before you angrily bang a response on the keyboard, take the time, pause to think about how did we all fuck this up to be in the position were in with the universal angst we all feel today and what we could collectively (or indvidually) we do vs life sucking venting and bitching.
