“Climate adaptation — adapting society to global warming…”

Most governments are offering this as a ‘solution’… and citizens are now talking about it too…So it’s not anything like ‘Oh we need to prevent this from happening’…but more ‘Let’s build higher dykes to keep our feet dry’… Wow..total madness IMHO. The world seems upside down doesn’t it?!

In the north of the Netherlands they are testing building houses on shock-absorbers because pumping up gas causes earthquakes… Okay lately they stopped retrieving gas, however now with the war in the Ukraine they want to re-open the gas fields. Does this make any sense? Why not speed up the transitions towards renewable energy? Aahh… it’s about the economy right?

I sense we need to get over ourselves and start acting like responsible citizens. Because why are we still fighting symptoms? Which is totally irresponsible. Why do we seem totally blind to the root causes of our climate and societal crisis? Which are our current static and degenerative governance and economic systems, and our apathy, or will, to change them.

The latest IPCC report talks about ‘criminal acts against humanity by failing leaders’. So now we apparently need to sue our governments to do the sensible thing? Governments that are supposed to be in service of society and our environment? I say yes, let’s!! If there is no other option left that is… However..

Have we all gone completely utterly out of our minds? Of Course we need to change our behavior too.. So where is the sense in ‘adapting’ to ever rising temperatures and climate change if we do not shift our mindset towards a regenerative lifestyle? “We have all the knowledge and resources to do so globally, and without illusionary borders in our minds, we can and must do so, together.”

A few years back economists warned the climate crisis would damage the economy… Again total madness.. No one said, ‘Hey wait a minute, isn’t it the economy that’s causing the climate crisis in the first place?’ Basically by mainly burning cheap fossil fuels to satisfy our consuming needs..

I truly wonder what’s causing our blindness…Our arrogance? Our lack of consciousness? Have we become sociopaths? Are we ending up to be the frogs in the pan with slowly heating up water until we boil? I refuse to believe so..

What do you believe? What do you really want? Surely not this? F*ck this sh*t!

I call upon all people with sense to support re-designing the current models and / or building a new model that’s fair to all. Can be done and will be done). https://hackhumanity.net and many similar platforms are working very hard on this). We are Uniting ❤.
