It would be helpful to state in the introduction the amount of weapon grade plutonium to get rid of according to the treaty with russia.

To me it is not understandable why the US cannot follow up on this treaty that would have eliminated plutomium to fabricate thousands of nukes. Russia is/will be able to do this and the US is hopelessly behind schedule and has been let off the hook by russia…

The whole mess is a text book example of how lobbying will help even the worst military program stay alive - whatever the cost and how small the benefit. The british and french are actually producing MOX, one could have maybe shipped the plutomium there to be processed? Why double a facility if not needed…
