Earning a LOT of money is your DUTY!

There are so many false beliefs about money:

“It is the root of all evil”

“It can’t buy you happiness”

“It doesn’t grow on trees”

My guess is, a lot of self-made millionaires and billionaires would tell you none of those statements are true. Money is not evil, people are. Money can buy happiness — at least for short bursts of time. I mean have you ever not smiled when you bought a new dress or a set of golf clubs? And, money can grow on trees if you know how to get paid for your ideas.

The one thing that is true about money is that it gives you choice. Unfortunately, there is no snappy cliche to teach people that. But think about it. If you have a lot of money, you have far more choices than if you don’t have money. If you are living from paycheck to paycheck your money choices are limited to paying the bills as best you can. You can’t help other people — you barely have enough money to get by yourself.

On the flip side, if you have loads of money — your choices have now increased exponentially. If you have a family member that needs help paying their mortgage, you can do that. If you want to fund a scholarship for disadvantaged kids, you can do that. If you want to travel around the world to show your kids what life is like in other countries, you can do that.

So, with that in mind, it is your responsibility and heck, your DUTY to earn as much money as you possibly can. Having money does not make you greedy. It does not make you bad. Having money gives you the option to help others that you would not otherwise be able to do.

The best part about life in the world today is that having a lot of money is within everyone’s grasp. It may be more challenging for some depending upon their current conditions, but it IS within everyone’s reach. The key is to get an idea that is good enough that people want to pay you for it.
