The enrollment rate for both full and part time students registered in the Art Department programs at Southern Connecticut State University has dropped over the past five years, according to the recent enrollment figures.

In recent years, such as the 2014–2015 academic year a total of 159 full-time students were enrolled into the Art Department during the fall. However, when the spring 2015 semester was in session only 148 students were enrolled full-time.

During this year’s 2015–2016 school year, 147 students enrolled full-time, but dropped to 142 for the spring. On the other hand, for the 2014–2015 year the enrollment rate for part-time students enrolled in the program increased. In the fall of 2014, 38 students were enrolled in the program and when the spring 2015 semester was in session 44. While the fall of 2015 enrolled 42 part-time students only to drop to 39 enrolled part-time students.

According to the enrollment figures, this enrollment trend can been across the university due to an overall enrollment drop during the 2014–2015 school year for both fall and spring semesters.
