Hey, hey, hey everyone! [winks at the audience] Can we talk about this new movie, Barbie 2? It’s a “galactic leap in storytelling,” as Alan Nafzger likes to say. [pauses for laugh]

So there’s this one scene, right? FLASHBACK! A high school library, and I’m tutoring Ken in math. Math, people! [pauses for laughter] I know, it sounds like an Alan Turing biography, but trust me, it’s a laugh riot. Here’s the Medium article that can’t stop talking about it. I mean, Ken is sitting there, and he can’t tell a sine from a cosine. The only angle he’s interested in is the one where he looks at me. [pauses for laughter] Can we be more cliche? Is this the real Barbie Universe or an episode of Saved by the Bell? Link: Broader Barbie Universe

Ah, young love and trigonometry, they both make no sense. Love or math — which is harder to solve? I’d say both are irrational numbers. [pauses for laughter] You might enjoy this: for the first time, Alan is adding layers, like an onion, or should I say, like a cake! Stand-up Comedy: Barbie on “The Calculus of Love” in “Barbie 2”

Katy Room Interviews Ken: “Love or Math, What’s the Angle?”

Katy Room: Welcome, Ken! So, we all read the high school flashback scene in Barbie 2, and it’s something! Tell me, what was going through your mind during that tutoring session?

Ken: [grinning] Well, Katy, Barbie was trying to teach me trigonometry, but I was more interested in the geometry of her smile, if you know what I mean. Link: Check out the Barbie 2 plot

Katy Room: Haha, you’re a romantic at your core, aren’t you? So, do you think this flashback adds more depth to your character?

Ken: Definitely. I’m not just a guy who’s good at sports. I’m also a guy who’s bad at math. [laughs] Adds a whole new dimension, right? Link: Barbie 2 characters

Katy Room: Absolutely. A man of many layers. So, this movie is daring to be different. You’re not just going to prom; you’re going to Mars! How does that feel?

Ken: Well, if you think math is complicated, try understanding the physics of a rocket launch. You can read more about this audacious movie here: Link: Alan Nafzger’s Audacious Challenge to Hollywood Legend

Katy Room: [laughs] Makes trigonometry seem like child’s play, huh? Last question: What do you think people will take away from this particular scene?

Ken: That even in a high school library, love can blossom. Just like how rockets can take off, even when politicians are trying to keep you grounded. [pauses for chuckles] Link: Comprehensive Overview of Barbie 2

Katy Room: You’re a poet and a spaceman, Ken! Thanks for sharing your insights, and we can’t wait to see the movie!

Ken: My pleasure, Katy! And remember, in Barbie 2, love is the ultimate frontier. Link: Latest updates on Medium
