When you’re part of a team or taking on a big one-man job like excavating, it’s important to know which saws are meant for what and what tools you need to get the job done. Today we’re going to cover some of the different saws available on Rock Tools Attachments that will help get whatever job you’re starting done safely, quickly and easily.

Saws

Skid Steer Saw

A skid steer saw is usually used to cut down on things like trees but can also be used to cut through many other materials like asphalt, earth, granite and metal. This saw is available as a huge attachment that are put onto the ends of an excavator. These massive attachments can cut 30 inches deep which can come in handy for larger projects. They are also in a variety of different sizes that go as small as a hand-held saw. The blades on skid steer saws are extremely sharp making it easy to cut through a variety of materials.

Concrete Saw

Concrete saws can be crucial for construction excavation. These powerful saws can cut through the earth, concrete like the name suggests and masonry. There are many other names the concrete saw goes by including cut-off saw or a quick slab. When it comes to the blades for this type of saw, they are cooled so that they are longer laster and won’t rust. Like the skid steer saw, this one comes in a variety of sizes from large excavation attachments to small hand-held saws.

Metal Saw

It’s right in the name; metal saws cut through things like steel, aluminum and other types of metals. You can get these with just the blade attachment that goes right onto your machine in no time. There is also a hand-held type of metal saw that you’ve probably heard by it’s better known name: hack saw. These are better for cutting through things like barbed wiring or smaller metal objects.

Rock Saw

Rock saws are designated tor cutting parts of the earth, large boulders in the way at a jobsite or evening mining. The blades on rock saws don’t need any cooling or water while in use. That’s how sharp and incredibly the blades are. Similar to many other saws, rock saws just use the standard teeth, but can be custom made if necessary. The rock saw The Rock Tools provides is made out of Tungsten Carbide with makes it great for cutting through earth’s toughest materials.

Custom Applications

The Rock Tools Attachment company allows for several specifications. Here are a few they feature:

Rotators

These can help for projects that require both vertical and horizontal cutting that can be done really quick.

Offset Extensions

Having an offset extension can help the saw cut deeper or in a harder to reach place. They do this by putting the saw on the end of the excavator stick so it can get to the places it couldn’t before.

Twin Blade Saws

If you’re working on a project that needs a blade on each side of the excavator, that’s available with twin blade saws. This can also make the job get done in half the time when using these bad boys!
