Making the most out of your smartphone as a writer

I write on my phone all the time, even more so when I moved on to the iphone 6+ with its bigger screen. I use iAwriter or Pages, both of them sync with my Mac, so anything I write on the phone is available on my desktop within minutes. Airplane mode is useful, particularly if reading aloud at spoken word gigs. I don’t usually bother to switch off but I do sometimes kill the WiFi to stop that annoying box popping up to tell me about local hubs.
