In 2014, I wrote myself a check for $1,500,000. As a physical reminder of one of the financial goals I want to accomplish. This gives me added direction when thinking about my career. It forces me to think big. Gives me something to work towards. Humbles me when I accomplish the smaller goals, because they are just apart of the bigger picture.
Normally I do not share personal goals but I wanted to try something new. What was the name of that bias? The one that states you are more likely to do something you have publicly committed to?
Bias due to consistency and commitment tendency.
Pretty sure I will still be with Chase when I achieve this goal… but you never know. Virtual banks… bitcoin… economic changes… sh*t happens.
