I call them “Pinterrorists” because all they do, even 7 months after this article, the 35 results you mentioned has turned to 70, 140, 280 results. And there’s no particular extension to Chrome where I can add Pinterest, Pinterest.co.uk, etc to a blocklist so that Pinterest never shows up in my image search results. Adding the “-site:” and the link, just isn’t enough. Stock Photos used to do this terribly. They now are either being overtaken by Pinterest’s SEO or the stock photo sites have dimmed down their SEO.

You’re completely right about the pin on the pin on the pin, the seven gates of hell would be easier to travel through. I swear, this would probably be a punishment not even Satan would bring upon you. And making the image bigger is also seemingly non-existent even if you are purposely looking for an image on pinterest. The little magnifying glass…it’s not a zoom, which the icon is used for on 99.9% of all other sites. No, it is a little ‘search for images like this’ icon. If I ever get into the means of adding someone to the terrorist watchlist, it would be Pinterrorist.
