TESLA ROADSTER 2020
If you have heard of Tesla maybe you´ve heard of this car, the Tesla Roadster 2020. It was supposed to come out this year but since its inicial reveal in 2017´s Tesla Semi Event, i has been posponed to 2021.
WHAT IS THE TESLA ROADSTER?
The new Roadster is Tesla showing that electric vehicles can compete with top of the line supercars, but since its debut it has been clear that there will be close to no competition.
I am no Tesla Fan Boy but i can´t argue with the specs of the car… it has a 600 Mile / 1000 Km Range, a top speed over 250 Mph / 400Kph, and above all that an absolutely astonishing acceleration! 1.9 Seconds from 0–60?! WHAT?! For those who aren´t seeying why is it big of a deal, an F1 Car has an average acceleration of 2.1 seconds (0–60 mph) , a bugatti chiron has a speed of 2.3 seconds from 0 to 60… and it costs over 2.5 million dollars! Meanwhile the new roadster is faster, has better “range” and costs 200k!!! And what to know the real kicker? That´s just the “BASE MODEL”… Oh yeah… because there will be better performance based options, like a “Rocket thruster” option to litterally boost the car with high pressure oxigen tanks! But ok, although that seems pretty cool, we still have to go through regulations, etc… but even if we´re only talking about the base model… 200k for an electric car, with slick design and better performance then a HYPERCAR? Count me in… or at least put me on the waiting list, since the car isnt out yet.
TESLA´S ADVANTAGE
The fact that an electric vehicle announced 3 years ago is still making its way to the internet, videos keep being watched and re-watched as more and more people begin to realize the impact it will have, is absolutely astonishing, no one yet owns a 2020 tesla roadster, and still, every week I see new comparisons between tesla and other luxury high performance vehicles.
Think with me on this, the roadster hasn’t even come out as of this moment, yet, there are millions of people still talking about it, with specs that are disturbingly high and disruptive for all the auto industry, imagine what will happen when tesla actually starts making deliveries, the sound of a hypercar, or should I say, the silence of hypercar , more affordable then any supercar will make its way through the media and flood everything car related.
The thoughts on people´s minds will start to take form, “If Tesla can do this with the “high performance luxury” market, then what about the other markets? does every other Tesla has this kind of performance in comparison with the other brands?”… The answer is YES, fortunatly or unfortunaly, since i would love to see more brands jumping on the train, is that every tesla vehicle has gigantic VALUE and offers a way higher performance then their gas competitors.
The more these thoughts start to appear, the easier it will be to show the world how far ahead tesla is against other automakers, we´re in 2020, yet, as of this moment, no other electric vehicle has been able to beat the range of a 2012, yes, you heard me, 2012 model S. Meanwhile, the roadster, in its tiny hypercar form, boasts a range that is more than double what any automaker has managed to accomplish.
The tesla roadster is basically Tesla´s HALO CAR, like the AUDI R8 a few years ago, the tesla roadster is the peak performance, engineering, luxury and overall experience tesla can offer at the moment, and that will greatly impact the overall view of the company, tesla has already proved that they can make great electric vehicles for the masses, imagine all the reach they will have when they prove that they can make an electric car that is better than ANY other combustion or electric vehicle, and doesn’t cost you your uncle´s mansion.
