Little light

I see a light ahead
It shines through the fog and darkness
A dim light that can hardly be seen
But strong enough to keep me in the way

I hear the sound of wild animals
Looking for me through the woods
Somehow I know they won’t find me
Because that little light is shining

My arms and legs are numb
Because of the freezing cold
But that little light keeps me warm
Enough to keep my heart beating

I don’t know whether I’ll make it through
But the endless night makes me wonder
How wonderful will be the day
Seeing what a little light can do
