Our own Personal Assistant

Let’s start by saying that what is described in this article started out as an exercise in play of words and might have grown into something way more interesting.

Words can be so powerful. We use them to communicate with ourselves and others. They are one of the greatest tools that help us shape our reality. Being mindful of our words helps us to be mindful of our reality.

That being said…

Have you ever felt things just magically falling into place? You know… how this happened, so then that happened and then that other thing and BAAAMM! something wonderful happened? People have many ways to call that. Some call it The Universe acting on one’s behalf, others call it God and so on.

God or The Universe convey an idea of a huge, great and all-powerful entity, to which one tends to look up to. One can feel part of it, but small in comparison at the same time. It’s something or someone that’s out there and that we reach out to. These past months my friends and I have been using a new word for that. We starting calling it: The Secretary. (By no means in a chauvinistic approach, it’s just a play of words and here’s why…) We feel that by calling this energy or entity this way there’s a switch in perspective. It becomes a more relatable, feminine and motherly figure that is acting on your behalf, moving things around FOR you.

The Secretary manages your “schedule, calendar and appointments” (Situations you find yourself in, people you meet, things you find, thoughts you think and so on.) in the smoothest way possible, so that you find yourself in situations that will help you grow as a human being. None of these are meant to be imposed on you, it’s always your choice on how you tackle a situation or don’t. If you choose not to deal with it it’ll automatically be re-scheduled. Because we believe that what is meant to happen, will happen. It might take other shapes or not be in the same way, but it will show up.

Once you begin to feel that things happen for a reason, and that The Secretary knows best, things that happen to you no longer feel good or bad… Maybe, they are just good or awkward, and with time sense will come to them. It might take seconds, minutes or years, but they will make sense eventually, and you’ll realize how much you’ve grown out of going through them.

To wrap this up let me say that in our personal experience, feeling in sync with what The Secretary has out there for us has changed our way of going through life. To quote a great mind: instead of struggling with each moment, flow into it, get to know it, feel it, observe it, live it and keep moving, “Be water, my friend.” (Bruce Lee).

PS: Keep in mind that The Secretary can be considered as an actual and honest manifestation of your Self creating your reality, instead of something or someone else.
