I remember summer 2016, my friends and I made a road trip to south west of France. This trip was a good experience because we met fantastic people and we had fun in good parties. Nevertheless, the lack of organization made us to waste time and money.

In march 2019, we launched Ddays to help people to plan events. We were surprised to see users planning their trips because we didn’t imagine people would use it for travels.

These feedbacks changed completely our understanding of the app. We added some features to help users to organize trips too.

For planning travels with buddies, it is necessary to get along before a trip (1) and to keep a good relationship during a trip (2).

1. To get along before a trip

When we propose friends to go on travel, it is important to be organized.

Often, friends’ groups start to plan their travels in chat groups.

However, the main problem with chat groups is that we tend to deal with many subjects without framework. We try to agree on choosing a date and a location, defining a budget, booking the hotel, or scheduling activities like hikes or jet ski.

I recall last year, we wanted to have a ski trip with my mates. We spent too much time arguing on the trips, finally we failed to get along to go together.

Now with Ddays, planning trips is easier.

Ddays is a fantastic all in one app that improves the communication with your travelers’ group.

In fact, the app enables to make polls to find a date, a location or anything else concerning the trip by getting the opinions of all the members.

In addition, everybody in a travel’s group can share tasks like finding flight tickets or booking hostel, define a budget for Airbnb locations or suggest trips’ activities like biking or scuba diving.

Although traveling with friends can be fun, tension can arise even if you got along before moving.

2. To keep a good relationship during a trip

Once you travel with buddies, money is almost always the grounds of conflicts.

I remember, when I was a student, my classmates and I went on a week trip to Amsterdam. We agreed on budget but one of them came without getting enough money. The problems raised because the bills splitting was unbalanced.

I bear in mind too the story of my friend Gladys. She told me that her best friend asked her to be bridesmaid. With her friends, they decided to travel to Croatia for the bachelorette party.

During this trip, a conflict arised concerning the split of the bills and that affectes their friendship.

In order to keep the good relationships with buddies during a travel, Ddays provides features to manage the expenses.

With Ddays each member can note his own expenses and see those of others members.

The app helps to keep transparency on the expenses and to balance it between all the. members.

The idea is “splitting the bills not the group”

If you want to plan a trip, I advise you to use. Ddays. You will preserve your friendship and avoid lots of troubles.

Thank you for taking time to read this article.

Have a nice day with Ddays.
