Postcapitalism and the city
Paul Mason

I found the text rather idealistic and not based on current trending of industrial or rather post-industrial economic or social reality. The demographic shift towards urban centres has been escalating since the 1840’s and will continue with rents increasing with demand, not decreasing. The capitalist landlord will continue and increase although with more monopolizing of wealth and ownership of the means of production and infrastructure. Homelessness and mental illness will increase, not decrease. The aspect of the article which bugged me the most were the 16+ typos which I discovered as I read the article. It appears no one proof-read the text before publishing it. Regrettable for a “professional” forum? #spellingmatters
