The gerrymandering means you cannot vote them out of office unless your able to overwhelmingly gather 75 to 80% of the votes. The goal is to recapture the state houses where they will be required to redraw voting districts in 2020. The Republicans hold seats that do not match the popular vote totals because of gerrymandering. In Wisconsin, they have authorized unlimited funds at $300 an hour for private legal help to overturn the judges’s ruling that they must draw fair voting districts. They use our tax money to fight for gerrymandering. All the town halls will mean nothing by the next election if you don’t vote in every single election including the nonpresidential ones, and even the local ones. Low turnout is the friend of the Republicans. They do not want you to vote, they want you to stay home.
