I Don’t Really Believe in “Work-Life Balance”

If our lives are all work, then they are impoverished. We all need other things to enrich them. These can be time with friends and family, hobbies, sport, involvement in the community, entertainment or relaxation.

That does not mean we can’t talk work over dinner. However it should not always be talk about OUR work.

If we switch off from work, then we are more creative when we return to it. Other interactions bring new perspectives to our work.

We can all decide the work/life balance that is right for us and the job we have. But there should be a balance.
