What is Travelo
--
Travel is on of the best activities that we can do, know new places, new people, cultures, and food. Is amazing in every way.
But is something very deficit at the moment of organizing a new trip, too much info or lack of it, try to get on in the same idea with your friends, family o partner, manage your flys, your bookings, what are the best things to do, what are the best offers, when is the best time to go to certain place. Travelo is the solution for this problem, centralizing and delivering all the info that you need to organize your next trip.
Travelo is going to learn about your decisions and the other users, making profile depending on your sex, age and money to offer you the perfect solution for you.
Process
The process of making Travelo takes several steps.
Research
The firs step was research about the travel topic, understand how the people plans his travels, wich method they use for booking hotels, how they find the best transport prices or most important how they take a decision where to want to go.
After several interviews and questionaries, I set some key problems in where Travelo can be a helping tool. For example:
The collaborative planning:
Make a trip with more than two persons is a huge problem, all the people want to do different things on a specific amount of time. Travelo can be a powerful tool to set itineraries and help to the users to find attractions of activities that they like.
Amount of information:
The biggest source of information for travel is the internet, after some books that are the bibles for some travelers. The problem of these two sources are: On the internet the amount of information is huge, is difficult find relevant tips, or guides and on the books are really big to keep it bringing around the world and also are not updated.
Another opportunity for Travelo to be an important source of trips information, destinations, attractions and all based on artificial intelligence, learning of our users.
Idea
After make this research is really clear what is the design opportunities, the challenge is “How design and technology can achieve a new a useful tool for travels”. So I started to work the idea, architecture, user flows, and concepts.
First Mockups
The first steps of Travelo, imagine different activities and cases. How I can solve this problem.
Prototype
How Travelo is going to work on the mobile devices, how the people can achieve this task in the easiest way possible.
Testing
Ok, I did all this work, but will work? Is time to testing and learn how to improve and make Travelo the best platform possible.
Final Product
This is what Travelo is now, this is the final prototype, is to much road to keep working, but is a good start.

Conclusion
The process of design is a great experience in where you need to understand the needs of your users, understand how these persons interact with different devices and with other people. Is all about the human nature and the digital world. Today these works are living together in every moment, for this reason is really important to analize, test and understand how to work.
Travelo is a prototype, but I have al the conviction to make it a real product during this year if you want to help don’t hesitate on talk with me.
