Here are five healthy drinks that you can include in your daily routine:

Water: It’s the most important drink for overall health and hydration. Aim to drink at least eight glasses of water per day.

Green Tea: Green tea is rich in antioxidants and has been shown to have a number of health benefits, including improved brain function and a reduced risk of certain diseases.

Freshly Squeezed Juice: Freshly squeezed fruit juice is a great way to get a concentrated dose of vitamins and minerals. Just be mindful of the sugar content, as fruit juice can be high in sugar.

Some recipes for each of the five healthy drinks I mentioned:

Water:

Simply fill a glass with cold water and enjoy! You can also add slices of lemon, lime, or cucumber for added flavor.

Green Tea:

Ingredients:

  • 1 green tea bag
  • 8 ounces hot water
  • Honey or lemon (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Boil water and let it cool for a minute or two, to just below boiling.
  2. Place the tea bag in a cup and pour the hot water over it.
  3. Let it steep for 3–5 minutes, then remove the tea bag.
  4. Sweeten with honey or a squeeze of lemon, if desired.

Freshly Squeezed Juice:

Ingredients:

  • 1 large carrot
  • 2 large apples
  • 1 large beet
  • 1 inch ginger (optional)
  • 1/2 lemon (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Wash and chop the produce.
  2. Run all ingredients through a juicer and collect the juice in a glass.
  3. Stir in the lemon juice, if using.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Smoothie:

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup frozen berries (e.g. strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 scoop protein powder (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
