Ikea’s arrival has given life to Godrej Interio

In the mid-August, we heard a news of the world’s biggest furniture brand coming to India and the very next day whole Hyderabad was chocked with traffic and Ikea was welcomed in an unprecedented way.

More than a year into research and 10,000 Indian families survey has served the purpose well and Ikea knew what was missing in every Indian’s life — The affordable furniture. With many startups coming and booming this was the space which was untouched and Ikea hoped on to the driver’s seat.

But recently one tweet came into the picture and that was of @godrejinterio and I was taken aback how come Godrej was hiding into the bushes if they were offering the same. But the positive here is that with the arrival of IKEA Today , Godrej Interio is going to shine they will be the only competent competitor for Ikea and I hope there will be a few surprise entries coming soon in the same segment.

Godrej Interio has found its life and the audience, with the arrival of Ikea.
If they want to be the Flipkart to Amazon, they need to deliver. Ikea has just opened a huge market and they will be expanding north to south, on Interio now to entertain us and lead the way.

P.S- Godrej Interio needs a lot of work to be done like displaying the price on site and make it more convenient.

Till the time being, I will just sit back and enjoy this new space.
