Mechanical Product Designer

Design meets food.

We see a future where kitchens around the world are connected. Where you, sitting on your couch can savor the exact same food cooked by an Italian grandma in her kitchen. Where you can have your mother’s food despite being on the other side of the globe.

And we are building this future at Nymble. Our first step is a cooking device which lets you choose a recipe, load in your ingredients, cooks food according to your taste and at a time you want.

To accomplish this, we are on-boarding a passionate and creative Mechanical Product Designer.

An an early core member of our team, you will be at the forefront of the engineering as well as the functional design of our product. Your growth will be accelerated, and you will get to be a part of a new category-defining product. Along the way you will lead a team of mechanical engineers to build the first global product from India for the kitchen.

Your decisions will shape the form and factor of the product as well as provide a seamless cooking experience to the user. You will also be interfacing with the manufacturers to ensure that the product and its materials are efficient and functional from an engineer’s perspective. We’d love to hear from you if:

• Have built products before keeping the user at the center of the entire design process.
• Have experience building prototypes and testing design hypothesis by rapid prototyping methods like 3D Printing.
• You are well-versed with mass-volume manufacturing methods for plastics and consumer electronics.
• Have extensive experience in traversing India’s manufacturing landscape for processes like CNC Milling, Sheet Metal Bending, Vacuum Casting etc.
• Have built 3D CAD models for complex assemblies
• Have ideated on design for sub -systems based on the overall product constraints and gather research insights and translate it into a design strategy and create design options
• You are extremely comfortable working in rapid-growth start-up environments
