Today, as the CEO and co-founder of Navier, Sampriti is bringing to life “the boat of the future” and redefining how we navigate the world’s waterways. Her story is a testament to the incredible potential of individuals to make a lasting impact, irrespective of their background.

From Kolkata to MIT:

Sampriti Bhattacharyya’s journey began in Kolkata, India, where her fascination with innovation and exploration led her to dream big. Despite not having engineers or inventors in her life and attending a small community college, she was determined to break through limitations. Navier’s flagship creation is a 30-foot electric watercraft that defies convention. This remarkable vessel is not just a boat; it’s a marvel of engineering that seamlessly integrates hydrofoil technology. As the boat accelerates, computer-controlled hydrofoils lift it out of the water, reducing friction to a minimum. This unique design, combining elements of boats and planes, provides a smooth ride with triple the range of standard electric boats, making it the world’s longest-range electric boat and the first all-electric hydrofoil boat manufactured in the United States.

Expanding the Boundaries:

Navier’s vision is to transform waterways into highways, making water transportation as cost-effective, speedy, and convenient as land-based options. The company is currently testing prototype vessels in the waters off San Francisco, with plans to expand across the United States, Europe, and Asia in the coming years.
