THE VOLKSWAGEN GROUP

The VW group is the largest car manufacturing group which is from Germany. The Group comprises twelve brands from seven European countries: Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi, SEAT, ŠKODA, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ducati, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Scania and MAN.

1.Volkswagen Passenger Cars

Volkswagen, is a German automaker founded on May 28, 1937 by the German Labour Front and headquartered in Wolfsburg. It is the flagship marque of the Volkswagen Group and is the largest automaker worldwide.

2.AUDI

we all know about this brand very well every time you saw an Audi you cant let off your eyes from that for a while ,it is a German automobile manufacturer that designs, engineers, produces, markets and distributes luxury vehicles. Audi is a member of the VW group & it is the main rival of BMW.

3. ŠKODA

this company started in 1895 & producing luxury at affordable prices to overcome other car manufactures numbers and now it is well settled in India.

4.Bentley

The famous brand that manufactures not luxury cars but “super” luxury cars that costs in crores & now it is in the market of super luxurious SUVs with its first ever SUV bentayga &this car already owned just after launch by some legends like Amitabh bacchan & Mukesh ambani. Bentley is the main rival of rolls royce of the BMW group.

5. Bugatti

All VW brands don’t need any introduction & this brand is super expensive it costs around 12 crores to buy a bugatti Veyron & now a latest model called Chyron has been showed in auto expo and there is a interesting fact about Bugatti that has been estimated to lose close to aroung 36 crores( $ 6 million) on each Veyron they sell. It is an absolute black hole in terms of the money spent on it, and the returns are quite less, even though the car has a price tag of $ 2 million.

This is because of the extremely high R&D costs incurred ($ 1.62 billion), along with the low volume of sales (an average of approximately 40 are sold annually).

5. Lamborghini

Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. is an Italian brand and manufacturer of luxury sports cars and SUVs . The company is owned by the Volkswagen Group through its subsidiary Audi. The car are super fast and costs in few crores .

6.Porsche

Porsche also produces high performance sports cars and SUV and is not that much in terms of sell when it comes to India due to high price point.

Remaining brands are not that much popular in India except Ducati.

6. Ducati

The Italian motorcycle brand Ducati was founded in 1926 and has been part of the Volkswagen Group since 2012. The company’s reputation is based on its legendary success on the racetrack. It produces top-of-the-range motorcycles in Bologna. In 2015, Ducati produced more than 55,000 motorcycles. Ducati is one of the most valuable motorcycle brands worldwide. It makes unique superbikes that are known for their efficient high-performance engines, super lightweight construction and distinctive design.
