The new Noise Cancelling Headphones in Town

Remember the times when you just hear the left side while watching a movie. Then you realize that your headphones have quit on you and you need a new pair of them.

When you go in the search for a new set of headphones, the internet is a floodgate of all the brands now making headphones. And as our lives are getting busier by the day, we need a pair of headphones that stay with us and block all the unwanted noise we hear everywhere. Our music experience is meant to be premium.

In regards to getting a Noise cancelling headphone, your choices will be severely limited. You start counting all the ANC headphones available on your finger and you won’t get past the 5th. “Sony, Bose, Sennheiser, and JBL” the end.

You probably need another choice. From rigorously researching, testing and researching, (then testing again to be doubly sure) online for another brand, I stumbled upon one that can be a worthy participant in the Active Noise Cancelling category.

Been established as a premium device only brand, Ravtek has launched its Ravtek x10 Noise cancelling headphone. This is the same brand behind the ravtek extreme sports earphones, that were launched a while back.

Ravtek x10 promises a rich bass because of the latest Qualcomm apt-X codec inside it. And believe me when I say this, the bass is god-like in these headphones. The cushioned earpads cover your ears entirely and isolates the outside noises to provide the maximum effect.

Although they might feel heavy in hands (like all ANC headphones), the weight distribution in the X10 is done in such a way that you will feel like wearing the normal lightweight headphones. And the soft earpads do not push your ears, they just adjust to the shape of your ear while surrounding them.

When it comes to the connectivity, Ravtek brings bluetooth v5.0 using the Qualcomm CSR8645 chipset. To test this, I kept my phone in my room and went around the entire house. I was opening and closing door after door, but the connectivity stayed strong most of the time. And when they were about to disconnect, there were no annoying screeching sounds.

Everyday, I have to commute about 2 hours a day, and I need a headset that goes on for a long time without need of constant juice. Ravtek x10 promises a battery life of 50 hours (without the ANC turned on) and 30 hours with the noise cancellation turned on, all thanks to the inbuilt 750mAh battery.

Although I am not much into talking using headphones, I still tested the microphone quality and the CVC 6.0 offers you crystal clear call quality, even in noisy environment.

What I didn’t like about these is the color options available. Just the black color. I would love a grey or white version. Also, the charge time could be a little better. Currently, it takes about 2 hours to fully charge. I am probably asking too much for this price point, but the popularity of fast charging smartphones have installed the habit of getting electronics charged quickly.
