Streaming your airdrop: A great solution to reduce the volatility of new tokens
Recently one of our clients Paras, an all-in-one social NFT marketplace for creators and collectors, did a successful airdrop of their new token Paras to the value of $1M with the help of Roketo.
Airdrops aren’t new, and they’ve recently become increasingly common. In an airdrop, projects distribute tokens to their community’s wallets for free as part of marketing — usually to drive traffic and to raise awareness about the new token.
What makes this case special is that Paras made the most out of Roketo’s real-time streaming feature to distribute their tokens equally during the three months instead of giving all of them right away. New tokens are particularly volatile and such approach cuts the risks of large amounts of tokens being sold on the first day of release and dump its value.
The main goal of Paras was to reward their existing community. From the beginning of December to the beginning of March around 6500 users took part in Paras airdrop. They gave away 1.5% of all released tokens for free making it up to 1,498,101.539. The team was able to set up thousands of streams automatically through sripts and run them in real time. Community members received tokens based on their activity such as posts on social media, referrals, etc.
As a result of the campaign, many members of their community became regular users of PARAS token increasing the overall number.
