Great article… one of the problems I have always had with development teams had been less than adequate unit testing or treating with inadequate test data…

I would add edge testing (testing with seldom if ever true test cases) to the list and creating a testing framework that uses data as close to real data as possible… masking it were required, but letting the application see data as it normally happens as much as possible (given legal constraints).

Small data sets that are perfect, seldom ever reflect reality of every day usage… test… test… test… and then test it again… save the logs… then send it out to integration, system and user acceptance test series… then you can roll out to prod…
