A Millennial In Germany

I had a Swedish friend who liked to browse job listings to find the ones that asked for extremely incongrous things, like “to fill this graphic design position, you have to have 8 years of managerial experience at a Fortune 500 company, speak Korean, and have won at least one yoyo championship between the years 1980 and 1988.” That normally was a signal that the company was trying to hire a specific non-European person and had written a specially tailored “we’re hiring” announcement which made clear that nobody currently in Europe could perform this tremendously specialized custom-fit job.
