I think you are moving the goal posts again to fit your argument.

By EVERY metric when Bernie and self-proclaimed progressives say “single payer” (and they also say Medicaid for all) they are explicitly saying GOVT run medical health care system- period.

I can refute that, because I’m one of those people and that’s not what it means. Also, I don’t think you have a good grasp of what Medicare does. Most people on Medicare had private gap insurance, because Medicare doesn’t cover everything.

So, based on your own definitions, if Bernie is campaigning on Medicare for All, he’s not campaigning for your definition of single payer, because that’s not what Medicare is.
