For Every Decision, Ask: Will it Diminish or Enlarge You?

One thought that came to mind reading this is — what about others?

So much of my scale for living a meaningful life is not about how I treat myself but about how I lift others up. It’s about decisions I make as they impact others. This concept seems to be about the tension between bettering myself or being more comfortable, or other shorter term desires.

If enlargement of myself is my key guide it seems to leave out consideration for others.

My question then is, where do we think of other as it relates to thinking of enlarging ones self?(Of course there is the care for yourself first concept, but can we look beyond that)

Thanks for sharing this did get my brain going.
