This is something I’ve been thinking about lately. Technology companies keep getting better at addicting people to their applications. The goal seems to be to keep people scrolling and looking… and I guess it’s because that’s where the dollars are.

I wonder if there is an economic incentive to give people back their time… for companies to create value for people outside their platform.

The trick is it seems much harder to measure time outside of scrolling.
