Inside, not out.

Reflecting on my career I have recognized my focus has been all wrong.

For years, I was always striving to attain things — influence, respect, and money.

These things were “out there” somewhere. I was chasing.

I have learned that the simple act of working, honing my craft, staying within my myself has led me inward. Inward to a very satisfying place, where influence and respect for myself is all that matters.

Turns out that the things worth chasing are inside, not out.
