I was amazed at the article and the responses. Have to disagree. For sure, there are many incidents of horribly racist type stuff explored in many of his films. Many here assume they are his personal beliefs. This is not the man I knew when I was in the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department. Forget the “missing chair” stuff; a bunch of you have gotten him totally wrong.
