Stop the overuse of overflow menus

Well, this article is just wrong. I love the old desktop app paradigm, with a menu that had almost everything and a good old customizable toolbar for those things YOU use the most. Nowadays, with all the mobile devices, with their tiny screens, this need to write the one application that runs everywhere, and, so it seems, the assumption that users are too dumb to figure anything for themselves. How are you supposed to pack functionality in such a tight space? Ask yourself that question and come up with something, I’d love to read about it.
some extra rant: Usability has always been a concern in software, even before GUIs. At some point someone decided to call it UX, …so stupid.
