Two Kinds of Voting, Two Kinds of Disruption, and Two Kinds of Unrighteousness

Good thoughts. I find myself in the same dilemma and my thinking goes:

  1. The major issues facing us are not abortion, gun rights, gay rights, immigration or any of the other things which, like prohibition will be only marginally affected by legislation but consume most of the debate today.
  2. The issues which really count are the debt which will eventually have a disastrous impact on our country if we don’t do something about it, and (in a distant second place) national defense.
  3. Neither party, nor their likely candidates, will do much about the major issues because there is no incentive to do so. A major change is required in party platforms (not to mention candidates.)
  4. I will end up voting for the candidate who will have the highest probability of causing (most likely indirectly) the parties to change their thinking. I currently believe this will be either Trump or Johnson.
