I’m with Mr Solley. Based on years of thinking about gender differences. I think these generalizations have valid underpinnings. Listen to the two conversations when two hetero couples meet for dinner.

On the male side I agree that analysis, systematizing, and efficiency are all good words. Something I learned many years ago is how much more men think spatially — okay in general (not all men are spatial, not all women are not). In finding their way, men use maps and orientations, and women use landmarks — more often. Almost all of my male life, I’ve kept track of compass directions - north, south, east, west. Few women do that.

On the female side, I’d add “experience”. In the sailing metaphor, imagine the lady enjoying the view as the man sails. On a road trip, who drives and who sits back and watches the view? Who suggests side trips?

This makes me realize that a sport I’m inventing with some friends is mostly for men. Talk about moving objects around efficiently! That’s what the sport all about though there is a large element of cooperation and communication that women might excel at.
