Well, maybe inability to see something that others are seeing goes right to the heart of the matter. I admit that, as a geek, I might easily miss social clues and other phenomenon. Many other coders and engineers are that way. Just as Damore said, women are more focused on people, so they might see things that us coders do not see. So now, here is a question, are coding skills and social skills inversely correlated? Or is that question by itself already sexist and is the socially clueless coder simply unable to see that he is sexist because he is socially clueless. Hmm! complicated!
