This is great. Applicable to the gladiator arena of online comments and, I find, also powerful for helping teams get to good strategy and product decisions. Get them to see how they share values (or where they differ) and they aren’t arguing about pixels or platforms, they’re discussing what real human customers need. To this effect, I sometimes have teams working on a new product talk through really terrible (on purpose) iterations of features/UX (think Opposite Day) in order to create some fun space and capture their shared values about what’s actually important to them by laughing through what they think would be shitty.
